Welcome to the American Association of University Women (AAUW) of South Carolina website.
I hope you’ll find valuable information on this site along with links to other branches and AAUW – all to keep you up to date on doings in AAUW. We welcome your help in advancing the mission of our organization.
AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.
With close to 400 members and 10 active branches throughout the state, along with more than 300 Members-At-Large, we are able to further this mission and bring equity to the women and girls in our communities. AAUW SC has branches in: Aiken, Beaufort, Charleston, Denmark, Due West, Gaffney, Greater Columbia, Greenville, Hilton Head, and Rock Hill. For more than 130 years AAUW keeps working to promote education, economic security, civil rights, and Title IX issues for women and girls.
At both the state and local level, we partner with organizations such as the League of Women Voters, the SC School Improvement Council, the SC Women Lawyers Association, the Friends of Education, the Leadership Institute at Columbia College, Womens Rights and Empowerment Network, the SC Progressive Network and other groups who are working to improve the lives of all our citizens.
I’d love to hear from you – just drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.

SC AAUW LEADERSHIP RETREAT
Unitarian Church of Charleston
10:00 am – 3:00 pm conference
Program: This inspiring day will be led by Cordy Galligan who will help us capitalize on the opportunities to promote our AAUW mission, build and retain membership, make real change through political advocacy, and encourage philanthropy both within the AAUW community and our local communities.
With her expertise, we will learn that small can be mighty, and messaging means everything!
Most of all, we will focus on bringing out the best in our leadership teams and branches. We will take the first steps in establishing a Lobby Corp for South Carolina and also build our STEM network. Look out South Carolina, here we come!
Cordy will also be available for one-on-one consulting to focus on how to market your branch in particular.
Special features: A delicious luncheon, plenty of networking, and women authors will display, promote, and sell their books. After our conference there will be a special Charleston walking tour.
$30 Registration fee includes materials, lunch and tour.
Register by September 18.
